What is the difference between farm-raised and wild seafood?Updated 2 years ago
Farmed seafood – like most meat – comes from species raised in a controlled enclosure, specifically for the purpose of eating them. Because 80-85% of wild-caught species suffer from overfishing, sustainably aqua-farmed seafood often makes for a more sustainable option than wild-caught seafood. We vet all our aqua-farmed species to ensure humane management, no impact to the natural environment, and reduction of wild species as a source of feed. Additionally, all of our wild caught species are from fisheries that have been specifically managed to ensure the sustainability of the species.
